Yoga has been part of Kiren's life for more than 25 years. He began teaching in 2004 after completing his yoga teacher training in New York, and has continued to study, practise and teach ever since. His journey began in Sydney, where as a child he immersed himself in Kung Fu, Eastern philosophy, and meditation—interests that naturally evolved into the practice of yoga in the late 1990s.

Kiren’s studies have taken him across the globe. He trained in mindfulness and meditation in France with Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, studied yoga in New York at Eddie Stern’s, Jivamukti, Atmananda, and with Manju Jois, and deepened his practice in India under Vijay. It was there in Dharamshala, he found inspiration practicing alongside monks from the Dalai Lama’s monastery—a humbling experience that continues to inform his teaching.

Kiren has shared his passion for yoga with people of all backgrounds and abilities, guiding everyone from first-time practitioners to highly trained professionals. His private students have included New York firemen, Bolshoi ballerinas, and Hollywood actors including Nicole Kidman.

With a grounded yet openhearted approach, Kiren’s teaching reflects the depth of his studies and his lifelong commitment to the transformative power of yoga.

Outside of yoga life Kiren is also a professional photographer with a passion for art, film, travel and good coffee.
